Littleton/Bega Sister Cities

Learn about Littleton’s sister city, Bega, in New South Wales, Australia. The Littleton Bega Sister Cities Exchange was started 64 years ago by Houstoun Waring, editor of the Littleton Independent and Curly Annabel, editor of the Bega District News, as a way to share each city’s unique culture and heritage with the other. This exchange continues today and community members have formed lasting friendships across the miles.

Littleton participants will share stories, pictures and artifacts from past trips to Australia and provide information about the 2026 trip currently being planned.
