It’s definitely snowing outside right now, but there are warmer days coming at us next week. Plan ahead for some outside time that benefits you (stroll) and your kids (play).

Start by parking at the Reynold’s Landing parking lot just past breckbrew.

Beyond the parking lot is the nature-inspired playground. It is small, but kids love it. It’s the perfect way to burn off some energy before strapping them into a stroller (I don’t even put my kids in the stroller until after they play here. This playground is very close to the parking lot).

Once they’ve worked up an appetite, set out a snack in the stroller and make your way to hudsongardens . While it’s not paved, it is packed down pretty well so your stroller can probably handle it. I like to let my kids run wild here (it’s so kid-friendly) and lead us to a play area - there are multiple throughout, so it’s fun to see which one they come across first.

After all the fun is had and you’re both ready for a nap, head back to the car the same way you came. You’ll have strolled just under 2 miles (not counting your walking at the Gardens).

If you want a longer walk and an extra leg of adventure, park at the Carson Nature Center instead of Reynolds Landing. If you walk toward the Gardens from the CNC you can still hit up Reynold’s Landing and the Gardens before turning around to the car, and you’ll have walked about 4 miles 👍🏼 Make sure to check out the CNC before or after, just be mindful of their hours (check the website).
